Ofsted Reports

Celebrating Our Recent Ofsted Success!

I am extremely proud to finally be able to share with you the outcome and report from our recent Ofsted inspection, on the 3rd and 4th February 2026Prudhoe West Academy has achieved a STRONG standard in all areas of the inspection. Here is a link to a video explaining how Ofsted has changed and what the new grading scales mean. New Ofsted report cards and grades: a guide for parents

As you can imagine, we are all thrilled with this outcome and feel that it reflects our dedication and journey since our last inspection. Inspectors commented that: ‘Pupils at Prudhoe West Academy brim with excitement about coming to school each day.’

We are incredibly proud of the way our school community came together during the inspection. Our wonderful staff team welcomed the inspectors and were able to show what life is really like at Prudhoe West over two typically busy days. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our entire school community – children, staff, parents and governors alike; as well as the efforts of our colleagues across the WISE Academies Trust. It reflects the commitment to excellence that we strive for every day in providing the best possible education and support for all our children and families.

Achieving a ‘strong’ grading in all evaluation areas of the new Ofsted framework is a significant achievement for our school and it recognises that staff and leaders are working above the standard expected. It also serves as motivation to continue striving for excellence in everything we do. Together, we will build upon this success and continue to provide the highest quality education for our children, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in the future.
